BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax declined by 77.7% from RM7.68 million in FY 2022 to RM1.72 million in FY 2023 mainly due to higher operational costs in Manufacturing Division as well as significant decrease in average Fresh Fruit Bunches price for Plantation Division. The management anticipated that Trading division will continue its path in generating revenue and profit to the Group. Moving forward, the management will continuously build on existing customer relationships, develop new customers and identify business opportunities.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax declined slightly by 2.5% from RM7.9 million in FY 2021 to RM7.7 million in FY 2022. Included in the accounting records of the Group, there was a recognition of non-cash expense in relation to Employees’ Share Scheme for FY 2021 amounting to RM1.42 million. For Plantation Division, the drop in average FFB selling price have been weighing on the Group’s bottom line. As part of our effort to maintain profitable results, we take measures appropriately to manage the cost of estate activities. For Manufacturing Division, our production is expected to run more smoothly going forward given the improvement in parts and components supply. The directors anticipate earnings growth for the new financial year, underpinned by expansion in production capacity and contribution from new production lines.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 1.07 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 9.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 69 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The manufacturing division’s revenue for current quarter decreased to RM2.77 million compared to RM3.54 million in immediate preceding quarter ended 31 March 2020, mainly due to lower sales volume. The plantation division recorded higher revenue at RM1.93 million for current quarter under review compared to RM1.38 million in immediate preceding quarter. This was due to higher FFB production.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The manufacturing division’s revenue for current quarter increased to RM3.54 million compared to RM3.29 million in preceding quarter ended 31 December 2019, mainly due to higher sales volume. Current quarter’s loss after tax was RM2.41 million mainly due to higher labour costs incurred in preparation for higher planned production capacity and related activities but did not fully achieve these initiatives as a result of COVID-19 outbreak causing disruption in supply chain and MCO imposed by the government.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The plantation division recorded higher revenue at RM1.62 million for current quarter compared to RM1.37 million in preceding quarter ended 30 September 2019. This was mainly due to increase in average FFB price by 25.8%. This division registered lower loss after tax at RM0.03 million, mainly due to higher revenue generated.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The manufacturing division’s revenue for current quarter decreased by 9.5% to RM3.29 million compared to RM3.64 million in preceding quarter ended 30 September 2019, mainly due to lower sales volume. Current quarter’s loss after tax was RM1.15 million compared to loss of RM0.83 million in the preceding quarter mainly due to lower revenue generated.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 1.2 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 7.5 million and auditor’s remuneration of 68 thousands
