Profit before tax declined by 77.7% from RM7.68 million in FY 2022 to RM1.72 million in FY 2023 mainly due to higher operational costs in Manufacturing Division as well as significant decrease in average Fresh Fruit Bunches price for Plantation Division. The management anticipated that Trading division will continue its path in generating revenue and profit to the Group. Moving forward, the management will continuously build on existing customer relationships, develop new customers and identify business opportunities.

Profit before tax declined slightly by 2.5% from RM7.9 million in FY 2021 to RM7.7 million in FY 2022. Included in the accounting records of the Group, there was a recognition of non-cash expense in relation to Employees’ Share Scheme for FY 2021 amounting to RM1.42 million. For Plantation Division, the drop in average FFB selling price have been weighing on the Group’s bottom line. As part of our effort to maintain profitable results, we take measures appropriately to manage the cost of estate activities. For Manufacturing Division, our production is expected to run more smoothly going forward given the improvement in parts and components supply. The directors anticipate earnings growth for the new financial year, underpinned by expansion in production capacity and contribution from new production lines.
