BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower LBT of RM6.64 million for the financial year ended 30 June 2024, an decrease of RM3.77 million as compared to LBT of RM10.41 million recorded in corresponding period of the preceding financial year. Lower LBT recorded in 12M2024 was mainly due improvement in profit margin in Manufacturing and reversal of share option reserve but partly offset by the impairment of certain fixed assets. Going forward, in Property Division, the Group has signed a joint venture agreement on a commercial development project on leasehold land in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The joint venture is anticipated to positively impact the Group’s profitability and cash flow in coming years.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a Loss Before Tax of RM10.4 million in the FYE 2023 as compared to LBT of RM17.1 million in FYE 2022. Higher LBT recorded in FYE 2022 was mainly due to higher cost of material and staff costs amounting to RM7.9 million arisen from vesting of share options. The Group remains cautiously optimistic on the long-term business prospects and will continue to actively pursue various business strategies to increase its revenue, focus on improving efficiency, automation across our operations and to implement cost control measures.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded revenue of RM9.65 million, an decrease of RM0.16 million as compared to the preceding quarter mainly due to decrease of revenue in Manufacturing Division. The Group recorded a LBT of RM2.68 million for the current quarter, an increase of RM0.40 million as compared to LBT of RM2.28 million in the preceding quarter. The slight increase LBT recorded in current quarter was mainly due to lower revenue and increase in cost of materials.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a Loss Before Tax of RM17 million in the FY 2022 as compared to LBT of RM0.26 million in FY 2021. A high LBT recorded in FY 2022 was mainly due to lower revenue recorded in Property Division coupled with higher cost of materials and staff costs amounting to RM7.9 million arisen from vesting of share options under SIS. In April 2022, SMSB has signed an Exclusive Distributorship Agreement with Signature Cabinet Sdn Bhd, Signature Distribution Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Signature International Berhad and Beyond Bath Sdn Bhd (Sorento Master Club) following the official launch of Scanwolf Flooring flagship showroom located at Kota Damansara.

The Group recorded a LBT of RM2.27 million for the current quarter as compared to LBT of RM7.82 million in the preceding quarter. A high LBT recorded in preceding quarter was mainly due to staff cost arisen from vesting of share options under SIS which were offered to the eligible employees of the Group amounting to RM7.9 million.

The Group recorded a LBT of RM7.82 million for the current quarter as compared to LBT of RM3.07 million in the preceding quarter. The increase in LBT was mainly due to RM7.9 million in staff cost arisen from vesting of share options under SIS which were offered to the eligible employees of the Group during the current quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a LBT of RM3.07 million for the current quarter as compared to LBT of RM3.8 million in the preceding quarter. The decrease in LBT was mainly due to higher revenue recorded in both Manufacturing and Property Division.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a LBT of RM3.8 million for the current quarter as compared to profit before tax (“PBT”) of RM0.18 million in the preceding quarter. A higher loss was recorded during this current quarter was mainly due to decrease of revenue and higher cost of materials.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a PBT of RM0.18 million for the current quarter as compared to PBT of RM0.71 million in the preceding quarter. The decrease in PBT was mainly due to full lockdown imposed under the National Recovery Plan from 1 June 2021 onwards which affected revenue from local customers for that month.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded revenue of RM11.8 million, an increase of RM0.43 million as compared to the preceding quarter is due to increase in revenue of both Manufacturing and Property Division. The Group recorded a PBT of RM0.71 million for the current quarter as compared to PBT of RM0.45 million in the preceding quarter. The PBT achieved was mainly due to increase in revenue of Property Division.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 1.6 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 10 million and auditor’s remuneration of 116 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded the revenue of RM4.0 million for Q4 2020, a decrease of RM4.2 million as compared to the preceding quarter. The decrease in revenue was recorded in both Manufacturing and Property Division, mainly due to Covid-19 pandemic. The Group recorded a PBT of RM0.25 million for the current quarter as compare to LBT of RM2.4 million in the immediate preceding quarter. The increase in PBT was mainly due cost-cutting measures implemented during the MCO.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded the revenue of RM8.2 million, a decrease of RM1.8 million as compared to the preceding quarter. The decrease in revenue was mainly due to sales recorded in Manufacturing Division due to MCO which required the factories to close on 18 March 2020 until end of the period, 31 March 2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For Q2 ended 31 December 2019, the Group recorded the revenue of RM9.9 million, an increase of RM0.4 million as compared to the preceding quarter. The increase of revenue was mainly contributed by Manufacturing Division due to higher demand on our products. The Group recorded a LBT of RM6.2 million for the current quarter as compare to PBT of RM10.4 million in preceding quarter is mainly due write-off on the cost on property held for development, other deposit and property inventories in Property Division.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.01 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 11.5 million and auditor’s remuneration of 111 thousands
