In 4Q2022, the Group recorded a lower revenue at RM147.7 million as compared to the revenue of RM155.6 million for the 3-month ended 30 September 2022 (“3Q2022”), representing a decrease of 5.1%. The decrease in 4Q2022 revenue was mainly due to decrease in contribution from the ATE business segment
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The profit before taxation recorded a decrease of 6.5% in 2Q2022 to RM31.2 million (1Q2022: RM33.3 million) where it was mainly due to the ongoing cost pressures from key component shortages and rise in direct and indirect labor cost.

The Star –
With solid orders in hand, especially for higher-margin semiconductor and smartphone-related products, Pentamaster Corp Bhd seems to be well-positioned to make a comeback this year. The cash-rich Penang-based company has already begun its financial year 2021 with a 15% jump in sales in the first quarter (Q1), although it was not spared from the sector-wide margin pressure. The company also benefits from the ongoing semiconductor industry “supercycle” as market demand exceeds global supply.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower profit before taxation of RM26.6 million in 1Q2021 as compared to the profit before taxation of RM31.7 million in 4Q2020, representing a decrease of 16.1% mainly due to increase in staff costs arising from the share award expenses amounting to RM3.3 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For 3Q2020, the Group recorded higher revenue at RM105.4 million as compared to the revenue of RM103.0 million for the 3 months ended 30 June 2020 (“2Q2020”), representing an increase of 2.3%. The higher revenue recorded in the current quarter under review was due to increase in sales from the Factory automation solutions operating segment by 48.4% which was offset by a decrease in the revenue from Automated test equipment operating segment by 8.3%.
The Star –
Pentamaster Corp Bhd is seeing buoyant business amid a pick-up in the technology sector. Group chairman C.B. Chuah told StarBiz the company has already secured orders worth RM200mil for factory automation solutions (FAS) and automated assembly & test equipment (ATE) to be fulfilled for the next two quarters.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the second quarter ended 30 June 2020, the Group recorded higher revenue at RM103.0 million as compared to the revenue of RM100.1 million in the preceding quarter, representing an increase of 2.9%. The higher revenue recorded in the current quarter under review was due to increase in sales from the automated test equipment operating segment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded revenue and PBT at RM100.1 million and RM27.2 million respectively for current quarter as compared to revenue and PBT of RM126.0 million and RM38.2 million respectively in the preceding quarter. The lower revenue was due to decrease in sales from the ATE operating segment as a result of COVID-19 that affected the Group’s project delivery schedule and site installation. The lower PBT mainly due to contraction in the gross profit margin as a result of lesser economies of scale from lower sales achieved.
