BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for the current quarter ended 30 June 2022 increased by 5% against the immediate preceding quarter ended 31 March 2022, driven by higher advertising revenue during the current quarter, which coincided with the Hari Raya festive period. The higher revenue generated during the current quarter contributed to the increase in profit before tax by 61% compared to the immediate preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Being one of the more challenging quarters in the calendar year based on past trends, the Group’s profit before tax during the current quarter was RM14.4 million, lower against the immediate preceding quarter. Revenue for the current quarter ended 31 March 2022 tapered against the immediate preceding quarter ended 31 December 2021 mainly due to the cyclically softer advertising expenditure
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue for 4QFY21 was higher by 23% against revenue for the third quarter ended 30 September 2021 driven by several major advertising campaigns, which includes Lazada, Shopee, Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian and early Chinese New Year advertising campaigns. Profit before tax in 4QFY21 of RM47.6 million increased by 247% against profit before tax in 3QFY21 of RM13.7 million, partly contributed by higher revenue
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue increased by 15% in 2QFY21 against the immediate preceding quarter (1QFY21), attributed to the higher adex spending, partially driven by the Hari Raya festive period during the quarter under review. The Group also recorded a higher profit before tax of RM19.3 million in 2QFY21 compared to a profit before tax of RM9.6 million in 1QFY21 on the back of higher revenue.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for 1QFY21 decreased by 15% against the immediate preceding quarter (4QFY20), attributed to the lower adex spending early in the year, which was further affected by the re-imposition of the Movement Control Order beginning January 2021. As a result, the Group recorded a lower profit before tax of RM9.6 million in 1QFY21 compared to a profit before tax of RM21.1 million in 4QFY20.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for 3QFY20 improved by 14% against 2QFY20, contributed by higher advertising revenue as a result of increased business activity following implementation of the nationwide Recovery Movement Control Order from 10 June 2020. The Group recorded a profit before tax of RM18.9 million in 3QFY20 compared to a loss before tax of RM17.1 million in 2QFY20.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for Q2FY20 of RM236.3 million remained flat compared to Q1FY20 revenue of RM238.4 million as the reduction in advertising revenue during Q2FY20 was offset by higher non-advertising revenue, driven by the increase in home shopping revenue.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 3.13 million. It was low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 426.5 million and auditor’s remuneration of 1583 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported revenue and LBT of RM238.44 million and RM28.66 million respectively for the current quarter ended 31 March 2020, compared to revenue and LBT of RM239.10 million and RM40.86 million respectively in preceding quarter. The Group’s revenue declined was impacted by lower advertising revenue. However, the Group’s revenue improved by 12% and 24% respectively mitigating the decline in overall revenue. The LAT was contributed from cost management initiatives by the Group.

9 MAR 20 – Media Prima Bhd, whose traditional revenue segment has been shrinking over the years, may undertake a privatisation exercise as part of its restructuring plan.
