BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded profit before net reversal of vessel impairment loss of RM27.4 million as compared to the loss of RM59.6 million incurred in FY 2022. The improvement was mainly due to higher revenue earned and lower vessel depreciation incurred during the current financial year. In relation to the Downstream Division, the Division expects the charter operations to continue to be active in the next financial year, given all the vessels are on time-charter contracts. For the CPP tankers, the commercial prospects over the medium term remain positive given the Division’s excellent operating standards that will ensure continued commercial competitiveness, as well as the shortage of Malaysian-flagged tankers in the market.
