    The Group posted a profit before tax of RM102 million in FY2022 as compared to RM52.5 million in FY2021 on the back of a RM731 million revenues, contributed entirely from the furniture division.Moving Forward, the Group will continue strengthening their market position through new product development, innovation and adoption of new technologies to enhance operational processes, besides deploying pertinent measures to manage risk exposures which the Group faces.

Despite the meagre growth in revenue, the Group’s profit before tax dipped 14.61% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter, mainly due to the USD exchange loss of RM6.5 million in the current quarter

    The operation for the current quarter resumed to normalcy after all workers and staff were fully vaccinated at end of September 2021. In that respect, the Group’s turnover grew 110.90% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter. The higher turnover coupled with the positive fair value changes of biological asset of RM1.5 million in the current quarter had resulted the Group’s profit before tax to increase by 115.20%. The average USD conversion rate was rather constant compared to third quarter this year.

    Revenue for the current quarter increased substantially by 113.72% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter because the Group resumed full operation in the current quarter as opposed to the second quarter where production and shipment were halted close to six (6) weeks. Due to higher sales in the current quarter and improved in production efficiency which generated a higher gross margin, the Group’s profit before tax recorded 164% higher than that of the immediate preceding quarter.

Due to lower sales in the current quarter, the Group’s profit before tax recorded 45.69% lower than that of the immediate preceding quarter, despite the favourable US Dollar against RM, which appreciated by 3.51% in the current period under review (2nd quarter: 4.2958; 1st quarter 4.1500).
