BURSA MALAYSIA –
For FY2022, we reported a PAT of RM652.9 million and an EBITDA of RM1.1 billion. As of 30 June 2022, our total assets were approximately at RM5.5 billion and shareholders’ funds stood at about RM2.2 billion. These robust results are due to the addition of the recently acquired assets as well as the increase in oil and gas prices over the course of FY2022. The PM3 CAA PSC contains a number of opportunities for further development and exploration. HML is working diligently with partners PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PETRONAS Carigali) and PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) to define
and high grade these projects. . Increased continuous maintenance activities will improve facilities uptime and drilling of additional oil production and water injection wells are projected to contribute additional production.

Oil and gas (O&G) related counters attracted investors’ attention this morning as oil price rally continues. Reuters reported that Brent crude settled at US$64.34 a barrel, gaining 99 cents, or 1.6%, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude settled at US$61.14 a barrel, rising US$1.09, or 1.8%. Hibiscus rose four sen to 74 sen.

Oil and gas counters were among the top traded counters amid the increase in crude oil prices. Brent crude extended its gains by 56 cents or over 1% to US$48.42 after jumping almost 4% in the previous session. WTI crude was 49 cents higher at US$45.43 a barrel after adding more than 4% previously. On Bursa Malaysia, Sapura Energy was the top traded stock. Other O&G-related counters included Hibiscus Petroleum adding 3.5 sen to 62.5 sen

Oil and gas (O&G) related counters dominated the list of most active stocks on the local bourse in early trade Tuesday as oil prices hit a two-month high. Bursa Malaysia’s Energy Index rose 14.47 points, or 1.85%. Hibiscus Petroleum was among the top active behind the index’s activity. Hibiscus added 3.42%, or two sen to 60.5 sen. Reuters reported that oil prices settled up more than 2% on Monday, extending last week’s gains as the latest report of encouraging coronavirus vaccine trials had traders anticipating a recovery in demand.
