BURSA MALAYSIA –
Total revenue of the Group also declined in FY2023 as higher revenue posted by both the Wholesale and Retail segments could not offset the slack in the MLM segment. Consequently, Group profit before taxation decreased by 39.7% to RM24.3 million in FY2023. In response to the prevailing economic uncertainties, we will continue to focus on the Group’s existing businesses by streamlining operational efficiency and strengthening existing businesses through operating excellence for cost management, enhancing physical outlets and digital platforms to refresh brand portfolio for a better customer experience, securing growth opportunities through finetuning sales incentive schemes across all business segments, and maintaining a sustainable distributors’ base with focused group marketing activities and growth opportunities
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the 2nd quarter under review, the Group recorded lower revenue of RM 44.1 million, a decrease of 8.6% from the preceding quarter while pre-tax profit decreased 41.9% to RM 5.5 million, dragged by weaker performance of the MLM division and the absence of a gain of RM1.7 million from the disposal of vintage tea which lifted profit in the 1 st quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the 1st quarter under review, the Group’s revenue increased by 6.6% to RM 48.3 million while pre-tax profit increased marginally to RM 9.5 million. The Group’s gross profit margin dropped by 1.9% to 41.7% from 43.6% in the immediate preceding quarter, reflecting higher product and logistic costs as well as the weakening of the Malaysian Ringgit.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group revenue and pre-tax profit decreased by 23.8% and 13.5% to RM 45.3 million and RM 9.4 million respectively over the same corresponding period. Higher inflation and weak purchasing power have dampened consumer sentiment and willingness to spend on non-essential goods. Malaysia’s Consumer Price Index increased by 2.2% in March 2022 mainly due to volatile energy prices and prolonged supply chain disruptions.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Since the reopening of economy activities, consumer sentiments have gradually improved. This, coupled with aggressive CNY festive promotion campaigns, have helped to lift Wholesale and Retail revenue to RM 17.2 million and RM 13.1 million respectively in the quarter ended 31 January 2022, up 50.1% and 67.4% from the immediate preceding quarter. After incorporating weaker MLM performance, Group revenue and pre-tax profit increased by 6.6% and 3.5% to RM 59.4 million and RM 10.9 million respectively over the same corresponding period.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group revenue and pre-tax profit increased by 13.5% and 11.6% to RM 55.7 million and RM 10.5 million respectively.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Wholesale division’s revenue increased by 22.6% to RM 13.2 million as compared with preceding quarter of RM 10.7 million, mainly driven by higher sales from Chinese medicated tonic, premium cooking wine and patented medicine. Wholesale division’s pre-tax profit increased two-fold to RM 2.5 million, reflecting higher margins for Chinese medicated tonic and premium cooking wine and effective cost optimization measures carried out.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
MLM division’s revenue increased by 39.9% to RM 49.3 million as compared with preceding quarter of RM 35.3 million, thanks to the success of the “Duit Raya” sales campaign launched in June 2020 and the overwhelming response for one of its newly launched lady wear items. Retail division’s revenue increased by 21.5% to RM 7.9 million, due to rebound of the lower base in preceding quarter as the outlets was not operating during MCO, and also aided by the deferment of the members’ sales promotion campaign.
