The Group’s profit before tax for the year was at RM174.8 million, a 17% increase from the preceding financial year. At the same time, our earnings before interest tax, depreciation and amortisation (“EBITDA”) also grown by 15% compared to last year. Our profit after tax (“PAT”) of RM135.2 million was also at its highest, with an increase of 18% compared to RM114.2 million recorded a year ago. The improved bottom line was attributable to the Group’s higher revenue, strict cost management and continual enhancement of processes leading to better production efficiency.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PAT for the current quarter decreased by RM4.7 million (12.5%) compared to the immediate preceding quarter. If we were to exclude the Plant 2 operational cost, the foreign currency exchange, under provision of incentive and withholding tax impact from the equation, for a like-for-like comparison, the current quarter PAT would have been 5.8% better than the immediate preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PAT for the current quarter increased by RM3.0 million (8.5%) compared to the immediate preceding quarter. If we were to remove the withholding tax impact, for a like-for-like comparison, the current quarter PAT would have been RM40.0 million compared to RM35.1 million achieved in the immediate preceding quarter; an increase of 14.0%.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue was 8% or approximately RM9.1 million higher sequentially due to improved business performance by our subsidiaries in Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore. The Group’s improved unaudited PAT by 22% for the current quarter was partly attributable to our continual efforts in improving our production processes leading to better efficiency and cost management.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PAT for the current quarter increased by RM3.0 million (11.0%) sequentially as a result of higher revenue from both of our semi-conductor and oil & gas businesses.
BURSA MALAYSIA –

BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s unaudited profit after tax during the current quarter was 1.4% or approximately RM0.3 million lower compared to the immediate preceding quarter mainly due to the provision for surtax on undistributed earnings by our Taiwan subsidiary. The profit after tax for Q1 2021 would have been 9% higher than that of Q4 2020 if the surtax on undistributed earnings in our Taiwan subsidiary was excluded.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue was 8.2% or approximately RM7.2 million higher during the current quarter as compared to the immediate preceding quarter mainly due to better performances from all our subsidiaries except for our unit in Indonesia. BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue was 3.2% or approximately RM2.7 million higher during the current quarter as compared to the immediate preceding quarter mainly contributed by our subsidiary in Taiwan. This was mainly due to the positive growth of the

BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s revenue was 4.5% or RM4.0 million lower during the current quarter as compared to the preceding quarter. The Group’s Q1 revenue was lower due to the performance in recent times even with the global slowdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The lower Group’s unaudited profit after tax for the current quarter was mainly due to lower revenue compared to the preceding quarter as explained above and provision for surtax on undistributed earnings by our Taiwan subsidiary.

The Group’s unaudited PBT for the current quarter was RM24.5 million or 6.2% lower than the preceding quarter of RM26.1 million.
