BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group saw its earnings before interest, income tax, depreciation and amortisation (“EBITDA”) and pre-tax profit decline by 38.3% and 54.6% respectively to RM88.0 million (2021: RM142.6 million) and RM47.9 million (2021: RM105.6 million) respectively. The decrease was mainly due to the higher procurement costs for its raw materials and trading inventories during the first half of 2022, higher production costs for certain manufacturing steel products and the declining domestic metal prices during the second half of 2022. Going Forward, The group’s Wholesale and Distribution segment is planning to commence the distribution of its own manufactured steel products in East Malaysia and expand its range of valves and fittings products in the sewerage sector. While, the segment will be focusing on revenue management of all the three hotels located at Selangor and Kuala Lumpur and will intensify its marketing plan to offer attractive rooms and MICE packages to the local government agencies and private sectors while maintaining attractive room rates for foreign and local tourists and free and independent travellers.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The increase in revenue as compared to preceding quarter ended 30 September 2022 was mainly due to the increase in market demand for certain metal related trading products and the sale of properties in Selayang and Kepong. However, the Group recorded a loss before tax in the current quarter mainly due to higher procurement costs for its raw materials and trading inventories during the first half of the year, higher production costs for certain manufactured steel products, net loss on impairment of trade receivables totaling RM6.1 million (2021: RM1.2 million) and the declining domestic metal prices during the second half of the year.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The decrease in revenue and profit before tax by 64.7% as compared to the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2022 was mainly due to the softening market demand in tandem with the declining international and domestic metal prices and higher procurement costs for its raw materials and trading inventories, and production costs for certain manufactured steel products.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The decrease in revenue and profit before tax by 12% as compared to the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2022 was mainly attributable to the weak market demand for certain metal-related trading productS in tandem with the declining domestic metal prices.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The decrease in revenue and profit before tax as compared to the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2021 was mainly attributable to the decrease in market demand for certain manufactured steel products.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The increase in revenue and profit before tax by 35% as compared to the preceding quarter ended 30 September 2021 was mainly attributable to the increase in market demand for most of its metalrelated trading products and manufactured steel products, and better yield in tandem with the increase in international and domestic metal prices.

The decrease in revenue as compared to the preceding quarter ended 30 June 2021 was mainly due to the decline in business activities in all business segments. The Group posted a 26.3% increase in profit before tax mainly driven by the better yield in tandem with the increase in international and domestic metal prices.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The group’s recorded a decrease in revenue and profit before tax at RM241.4 million and RM18.32 million respectively as compared to the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2021 of RM324.6 million and RM29.16 million respectively mainly due to the decline in business activities in all business segments.

The increase in revenue and profit before tax by 72% as compared to the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2020 was mainly due to the increase in market demand for certain manufactured steel products and better yield arising from the increase in international and domestic metal prices.

The significant decrease in net revenue by 43.3% and incurred a loss before tax as compared to the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2020 were mainly due to the business closure nationwide from 18 March 2020 to 3 May 2020 resulted from the implementation of the MCO
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The net revenue was 15.7% lower as compared to the preceding quarter ended 31 December 2019 as all segments suffered revenue loss due to the business closure from 18 March 2020 onwards resulted from the implementation of the MCO. However, there was an increase in profit before tax mainly due to the lower operating costs incurred by certain manufactured steel products.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 10.58 million. It was high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 72.6 million and auditor’s remuneration of 417 thousands
