The Group recorded revenue of RM176.0 million and PBT of RM7.2 million for FY2024, in comparison to revenue of RM112.3 million and PBT of RM10.1 million reported in the preceding financial year. The lower PBT recorded was due the impairment losses on receivables of RM0.4 million in TS Segment and LBT of RM16.9 million in the FY2024 from Other segment ,mainly comprising of corporate administrative expenses, such as professional charges and staff costs. Going forward, PGB had divested its entire equity stake in Propel Chemicals Sdn Bhd (“PCSB”), a strategic move to sharpen the Group’s focus by exiting segments with limited growth potential and reallocating resources to more lucrative and sustainable opportunities.

The Group reported profit before tax of RM10.05 million for FYE2023 compared with RM66.66 million in FYE2022 due to the absence of fair value gain on share consideration issued of RM74.25 million. The Group will continue to expand its O&G segment’s market through increasing the suite of services offered. As part of this strategy, the Group acquired a 51% stake in BWE, which will enable it to strengthen its position in the provision to design and engineering services to O&G clients. For the technical services segment, the Group will continue to expand its mechanical, electrical, and engineering services, including the installation and maintenance of machinery and equipment, such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems

The Group reported a profit before taxation of RM66.66 million compared to a profit before taxation of RM13.58 million in FYE2021 mainly due to fair value gain on share consideration issued of RM74.25 million. The Group reported a revenue of RM23.6 million as compared to RM13.3 million in the preceding quarter, representing an increase of RM10.3 million or 77.7%. The increase is attributed to higher revenue by TS Segment of RM10.7 million as the construction industries are able to intensify operations with less stringent restriction as compared to the preceding financial quarter. Correspondingly, the Group reported a lower LBT of RM2.9 million for the current quarter as compared to a LBT of RM3.2 million in the immediate preceding quarter.

    BURSA MALAYSIA

Despite the lower revenue, the Group reported a lower loss after tax of RM3.3 million for FY2021 in comparison to RM63.6 restated in FY2020. The LAT for FY2021 was mainly attributed to the finance costs of RM11.6 million on loans and borrowing which was partially offset by the gain on disposal of a property of RM7.5 million. Moving into the new financial year, key focus of the Group is to ensure continuation and sustainability of its business operations as well as to safeguard and preserve its financial condition, while remains committed to uplift its PN17 status.

The Group reported a loss before tax (“LBT”) of RM1.4 million for the current financial quarter as compared to LBT of RM5.0 million in the immediate preceding financial quarter, representing an improvement of RM3.7 million or 73.2%. The lower LBT was mainly attributed to the higher sales with improved margin recorded by TS Segment in 3Q FYE2021. However, in the absence of the accrued finance cost for the outstanding amount owing to certain scheme creditors of DMB of RM2.2 million, the Group would record a profit before tax (“PBT”) of RM0.9 million for the current financial quarter.
