    The Group recorded a loss before tax of RM60.16 million and a loss after tax of RM42.30 million in FYE2022 as compared to PBT of RM539.12 million and PAT of RM421.5 million in FYE2021 after the reversal of deferred tax amounted to RM28.14 million. Going Forward, the Group will emphasise on cost controlling measure to ensure the group operate efficiently, defer any unnecessary capital expenditures and conserve as much cash as possible in order weather through the challenges ahead. In tandem, the Group will also continue to research and develop more specialised gloves to differentiate itself from competitors.

    The Group registered a net loss after tax of RM 17.8 million in 3QYE31Dec22 as compared to last quarter 2QYE31Dec22 of net profit after tax of RM 3.2 million This was largely due to the provision of slow-moving stock totalling RM 3.5 million and write down of inventory to net realisable value of RM 9.6 million. During the current reporting quarter (3QYE31Dec22), the Group has made an additional tax expense for the under provision of taxation in prior year amounting to RM 7.5 million.

Some positive news on a vaccine, competition rising faster than expected and concerns of a potential windfall tax all attributed to the correction. Comfort Gloves Bhd went down 41 sen to RM4.47.
