The Star –
Tile manufacturer Yi-Lai Bhd is stepping up its merger and acquisition (M&A) and diversification exercises having allocated an initial RM30mil to RM40mil for such purpose. The company hopes to secure at least one M&A next year and to diversify its business in a bid to mitigate the risk of over dependence on a particular business.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
In the current quarter under review, the Group registered a consolidated loss before tax of RM6.4 million compared to a loss before tax of RM3.4 million in the preceding quarter which was caused by lower sales.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 0.7 million. It was slightly low compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 23.3 million and auditor’s remuneration of 104 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
In the current quarter under review, the Group registered a consolidated loss before tax of RM3.4 million compared to profit of RM0.8 million in the preceding quarter which was caused by lower sales due mainly to the slower demand in the housing and construction sector and Movement Control Order imposed since 18 March 2020.
