Tanco was committed to forging strategic alliances with esteemed partners, ensuring a consistent supply of building materials on favourable payment terms. Our acquisition of Gplex Properties Sdn. Bhd. has also positively contributed to our financial performance. As a result of these strategic moves, Tanco transitioned from a net loss of RM13.048 million in FY2022 to achieving a net profit of RM20.922 million in FY2023. The Group stands on the cusp of transformative growth, with expansive strategies and collaborations across its property, construction, and pharmaceutical domains. These diversified forays are evidence of the Group’s commitment to capitalising on emergent market opportunities in order to achieve sustainable growth potential.

The Group stated a loss before tax of RM12.98 million in the FYE 30 June 2022, a decrease in losses of approximately RM0.75 million as compared to the preceding year under review. Although a slight recovery can be seen from construction sector, the uneven pace of recovery across the remaining sectors was clearly reflected in the financial results. In view of cautious consumer sentiments for property purchases for the next 12 months, the Property segment will focus on progressively delivering the vacant possession on Tower 2 Service Suites and selling the remaining units. The Group may look to launch Tower 3 Service Suites when consumer sentiment turns more positive on property purchases. The Group’s Pharmaceutical segment is currently engaging with Universiti Malaya on “Effect of NODEN Supplement Against Dengue Infection: A Clinical Trial Study” on the efficacy of herbal compounds and extracts as the management expect the UM Clinical Trial Study to complete by first half of 2023.
