BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s reports PBT amounted to RM68.2 million in final year ended 31 December 2022, representing an 13% decrease compared to the annualised FP2021 PBT of RM78.2 million. This decline was primarily due to higher costs of sales, including operating supplies such as fertilisers, fuel, oil, and lubricants. In near year, for the oil palm segment, the Group expects to see higher FFB yield as the palms mature, contributing to revenue and profit growth. The global demand for palm oil as a vital and affordable dietary oil and renewable energy source further supports this growth. The timber segment is undergoing business reorganisation to optimise costs, innovate, and consolidate operations to achieve sustained positive returns. The Group remains focused on business sustainability, with an emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance factors in its business strategies.

Oil palm segment’s revenue decreased by 27% to RM77.0 million while pre-tax profit decreased by 49% to RM15.3 million mainly due to lower Crude Palm Oil (“CPO”) price from RM6,557/MT to RM3,995/MT during the current quarter

Timber’s revenue decreased mainly due to weaker demand of timber and timber products while pre-tax loss increased mainly due to impairment losses provided on financial assets and property, plant and equipment.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported revenue of RM78.5 million in the current quarter as compared to RM84.4 million reported in the immediate preceding quarter. This is mainly due 11% decrease in CPO price from RM2,780/MT to RM2,467/MT, 16% decrease in FFB sales volume during the low crop season, higher sales volume of logs and higher average selling price of manufactured products in the current quarter.
