BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the financial year ended 30 June 2024, the Group revenue was RM2,247 million and LBT was RM59 million as compared with revenue and LBT of RM2,386 million and RM144 million respectively for the corresponding period of FY2023. The lower loss before tax were due to improved margins from favorable input costs. Going forward, The global steel market is expected to remain soft and volatile due to slowing demand and structural overcapacity. The Group continues to focus its attention on improving its operational efficiencies, inventory management and growing the downstream businesses.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the quarter under review, excluding a discontinued operation, the Group revenue increased to RM652 million from RM487 million of the preceding quarter. Despite of this increase in turnover, PBT maintained at RM40 million due to escalating input cost

BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s reported profit before taxation of RM47 million as compared with the previous year’s loss before tax of RM457 million. The losses in last financial year included a plant impairment provision of RM229 million relating to the hot rolled coil project. Although there has been an improvement in the Group’s performance, market conditions remain uncertain due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Group will continue to be responsive to market changes, maintain a lean cost structure and control inventory levels.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group PBT, excluding a discontinued operation, was RM29 million for the quarter under review as compared with PBT of RM44 million for the preceding quarter. The decrease in PBT was due to lower plant utilisation from the full COVID-19 pandemic lockdown implemented by the Government in June 2021.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s PBT, excluding a discontinued operation, was RM44 million for the quarter under review as compared with PBT of RM18 million for the preceding quarter. The improved performance was due to higher selling prices and improved operating cost.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s LBT was RM28 million for the current quarter as compared with LBT of RM38 million for the preceding quarter. The lower loss was due to the resumed production activities and ongoing cost reduction exercises.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 2.98 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 102.9 million and auditor’s remuneration of 342 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s LBT for the current quarter was RM38 million, which was at the same level as in the preceding quarter. The poor performance was due to lower plant utilisation during the pandemic period.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s LBT was RM38 million for the current quarter as compared with LBT of RM77 million for the preceding quarter due to improved margin from lower inventory cost.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a LBT of RM335 million for the current quarter as compared with LBT of RM46 million for the preceding quarter due to the impairment loss of RM258 million and lower selling prices.

REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 7.85 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 125.8 million and auditor’s remuneration of 329 thousands
