BURSA MALAYSIA –
In line with the better operating results, the Group’s profit before tax surged by more than 184.8% from RM37.4 million in the previous financial year to RM106.4 million in the current financial year. The improvement in the gross profit margin was attributable to better labour and plant utilization rates in the current financial year. Operationally, we are working with our customers to forecast orders and shipping schedules so that we can monitor and adjust our inventory levels and right sizing our workforce and operating hour according to production schedules
BURSA MALAYSIA –
In line with the sustained turnover, the Group achieved almost similar gross profit of RM39.62 million in current reporting period compared to RM38.61 million in the preceding reporting period ended 31 July 2022. The above notwithstanding, the Group profit before tax improved from RM26.73 million in the preceding reporting period to RM32.13 million in the current reporting period, due to higher foreign exchange gains as the Ringgit and Vietnamese Dong weakened against the US Dollar during the period under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group gross profit margin in the current reporting period improved to 23.19% from 21.52% in the preceding reporting period due to the use of lower cost raw materials stocked in the earlier periods and upward selling prices adjustments with some of our customers since January 2022.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group achieved a higher gross profit of RM40.10 million in current reporting period compared to RM35.64 million in the preceding reporting period. Malaysia operations recorded higher gross profit due to better average selling prices following adjustments in the beginning of 2022 and the use of raw materials stocked in the earlier periods. The better gross profit gave rise to a higher profit before tax of RM27.06 million in the current reporting period under review against a profit before tax of RM20.53 million in the preceding reporting period.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Given the relatively inelastic nature of the other operating and administrative expenses, the significantly higher gross profit gave rise to a turnaround profit before tax of RM20.53 million for the period under review against a loss before tax of RM5.03 million in the preceding reporting period.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Gross profits for the Group declined significantly from RM29.27 million in the preceding period ended 31 July 2021 to a low RM4.74 million in current reporting period. This drastic drop in gross profits were the direct result of the extremely low production days and outputs brought about by the prolonged lockdowns both in Malaysia and Vietnam vis-a-vis the relatively fixed factory overheads and labour costs
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Absolute gross profits slightly increased from RM28.36 million in the preceding reporting period to RM29.12 million in the current reporting period due to the better operational results from our Malaysian operations. The higher gross profits, coupled with gains from disposal of fixed assets and foreign exchange gave rise to a 32% increase in profit before tax from RM11.55 million in the preceding reporting period to RM15.26 million in the current reporting period under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Selling, distribution and administrative expenses, as a percentage of sales, were broadly consistent with those in the preceding reporting period. Consequentially, profit before tax dropped by 59% from RM28.17 million in the preceding reporting period to RM15.55 million in the current reporting period under review.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded higher turnover of RM132.81 million for current quarter ended 31 July 2019 compared to RM121.18 million in the preceding quarter. Profit before tax improved to RM13.74 million in the current period against RM9.3 million in the preceding period.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a 1.71% decrease in turnover from RM192.08 million recorded in the preceding reporting period to RM188.80 million for the current reporting period under review. In Malaysia, turnover rose from RM89.85 million in the preceding reporting period to RM99.55 million in the current reporting period due to higher shipment of panel based bedroom sets for the year-end holiday season.
