BURSA MALAYSIA –
LBT for the FPE 31 December 2023 RM7.53 million higher compared to FPE 30 June 2022 of RM5.90 million due to the net loss on impairment of financial instruments of RM1.57 million. Our corporate travel division is primed for strengthening, ensuring robust growth prospects in the coming fiscal year. Through integrated online platforms and social media metrics, we seek to broaden our reach and connect with a wider audience. Additionally, our structured approach to target
achievement and sustainable growth is reinforced by the development of a specialized loyalty program. Grounded in in-depth market research and customer feedback, we continuously refine and evolve our product offerings to align with emerging trends and evolving customer needs.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a higher revenue of RM8.92 million as compared to the previous quarter ended 30 September 2022 (“1Q2023”) of RM10.69 million mainly due to the increase in its travel and tours business especially in the current quarter with the year end school holiday that witness a spike in the number of holiday goers and year end corporate events.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower revenue of RM10.685 million as compared to the previous quarter 30 June 2022 (“6Q2021”) of RM26.599 million mainly due to the decreased demand on RTK-Ag test kits and impacted the revenue for V Care. Parlo had also seen an increase in its travel segment derived from the increase in travelling activities such as business travel by its corporate client and its leisure travel customer as Malaysia had moved towards the endemic phase.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The lower LBIT of RM1.68 million of 1Q2021 compared to RM3.11 million of 4Q2020 was mainly due to the absence of provisions and impairment in 1Q2021, whereas in 4Q2020, provisions and impairment was made for receivables.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
LBIT for the current quarter of RM1.90 million is lower than 3Q2020 of RM2.09 million, as a result of an increase in expenses arising from various impairments and provisions as a result from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by approximately RM1.12 million. This is partially offset against other income arising from gain on disposal of a subsidiary, namely Travel Ideas Online Sdn Bhd at the end of the current quarter amounting to approximately RM1.26 million.
The Star –
Parlo Bhd is collaborating with Diamond Palace Group of Companies Ltd and Agensi Pekerjaan Seaview Hectare Sdn Bhd to provide employment agency-related services to supply workers to employers. Diamond Palace was incorporated in Myanmar and undertakes various national projects, which include consular and employment agency services for Myanmar migrant workers, whereas Seaview is Diamond Palace’s local partner in Malaysia, it said in a statement. According to the statement, the services offered under the collaboration will include travel, logistics and dormitary arrangements as well as arrangements for medical examinations for migrant workers.
The Edge –
Parlo Bhd’s share price rose 2 sen, or 12%, to 18 sen to give the company a market capitalisation of RM83.7 million. After disposing of 29 million shares or a 7.9% stake, Thirty Keystone Sdn Bhd remains Parlo’s largest shareholder with 209.5 million shares or 57.66% equity interest in the travel and ticketing agency service provider.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower revenue of RM0.15 million as compared to previous quarter of RM14.78 million and the decrease of RM14.63 million was due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic only taking place partially in the previous quarter ended 31 March 2020 (“1Q2020”) as compared to the full impact arising from COVID-19 pandemic in 2Q2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a lower revenue of RM14.78 million as compared to previous quarter of RM55.00 million and the decrease of RM40.22 million was due to the seasonal effect whereby the Group normally will record lower revenue in the first quarter and higher revenue in the fourth quarter of the year and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.19 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 10.8 million and auditor’s remuneration of 140 thousands
