BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group’s financial performance made a turnaround with profit before tax of RM1.2 million as opposed to a loss before tax of RM0.9 million in the immediate preceding quarter. The Group recorded lower sales in the immediate preceding quarter following the temporary closure of business operations from 1
April 2020 to 12 May 2020 to comply with the Movement Control Order
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group’s revenue fell to RM51.7 million in the current quarter from RM79.5 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2020. The decline was mainly due to lower sales in temporary closure of business operations to comply with the Movement Control Order. The Group’s loss before tax rose to RM0.9 million for current quarter from RM0.5 million three months earlier on significantly lower gross profit and reversal of impairment on receivables previously recognised.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 2.02 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 27.2 million and auditor’s remuneration of 209 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded quarterly loss of RM0.5 million on the back of revenue of RM79.5 million as compared to profit before tax of RM3.8 million and revenue of RM89.5 million in the immediate preceding quarter. Against the immediate preceding quarter, the lower performance in the current quarter was largely attributed to the decrease in gross
profit coupled with higher impairment losses on trade receivables as well as slow moving inventories.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
For the current quarter, the Group achieved profit before tax (PBT) of RM3.8 million on the back of revenue of RM89.5 million as compared to PBT of RM4.6 million and revenue of RM88.1 million in the preceding quarter. The lower net profit was largely attributed to lower share of results from associate as well as gross profit led by lower margins.
