BURSA MALAYSIA –
The net profit after tax of RM43.5 million was recorded, which is the highest ever recorded. The net profit after tax in previous year was RM31.6 million. The significant jump in profit was mainly due to the higher turnover, benefit from economy of scale, gain from forex as well as the cost savings measures implemented by the management. PARB had improved its environment, social and governance assessment such as the living conditions of foreign workers were complied with the labour department conditions. PARB will continue to invest on the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the companies in the group.
The Star –
JF Apex Research expects PA Resources Bhd to be among the stocks to watch on Thursday. PA Resources announced that its supply agreement with First Solar has been extended for two years at an approximate value of RM800mil.
The Edge –
Between Nov 30 and Dec 8, the share price of aluminium billets manufacturer PA Resources Bhd rose 18.7%, from 16 sen to 19 sen. Through Interlink Matrix (M) Sdn Bhd, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy emerged as a new shareholder after acquiring 228.38 million shares or a 10.75% stake in the company. Filings with Bursa revealed that the share acquisition was a result of a share sale and purchase agreement entered into between Datuk Ng Tong Hai and Interlink Matrix. Ng’s stake was reduced to 5.31% after the sale.
The Star –
P.A. Resources is among the stocks which could see trading interest on Monday, according to TA Securities Research. StarBiz reported Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy has emerged as the top shareholder of aluminium extruder P.A. Resources Bhd after acquiring a 10.18% stake in the group.

In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 1.54 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 19.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 135 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue for the current quarter increased slightly from RM51.2m in the last quarter to RM53.6m currently. In line with higher revenue, operating profits jumped to RM5.9m from RM3.2m. The benefits from the economy of scale from the higher volume as well as cost cutting measures also contributed to the better performance.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The extrusion and fabrication segment’s sales for the current quarter was lower at RM51.2m compared to RM53.6m in the preceeding quarter. The lower sales was due to the shorter working days in the MCO period in March. Despite the lower sales operating profits shot up RM3.2m compared to RM2.3m. As mentioned this was achieved on the back of cost cutting and gain from the higher exchange rate from US dollor.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Extrusion and fabrication segment’s revenue for the current quarter increased by almost 25% compared to the previous quarter. In line with the higher revenue operating profits jumped to RM2.3m from RM0.6m. The benefits from the economy of scale from the higher volume also contributed to the better performance.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 1.44 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 18 million and auditor’s remuneration of 135 thousands
