The Group is reporting a loss after tax of RM7.15 million in FYE2022 as compared to a loss after tax of RM23.49 million in the financial year ended 31 December 2021 (“FY2021”). The lower losses incurred for the current year as compared to the previous year were due to the lower impairment loss of trade receivable and bad debt written off but mitigated by written off of forfeited deposit. Going forward, the Group opines that both property and construction sectors will be the key driver of growth for the Group’s earnings in 2023.

The Group pre-tax loss increased by RM20.07 million (700%) as compared to LBT of RM2.87 million in the previous quarter of 2021. Revenue decreased by RM1.78 million (-37.8%) while pretax loss decreased by RM3.16 million (-75.8%) as compared to the previous quarter. The decrease in revenue was because there was no construction project in the current quarter since the completion of its last project in 2019. The reduction in pretax loss was because in the previous quarter the profitability was adversely impacted by the reversal of prior years’ profit due to the increase in construction cost, higher impairment loss on trade debtors and higher interest expenses.
