The Edge –
ACE Market-listed enterprise data management and storage solutions firm Kronologi Asia Bhd expects to see sequential growth in the upcoming October-December 2020 quarter, as most businesses in which it has a presence continue to recover from the pandemic amid gradual resumption of activities, said chief executive officer Edmond Tay Nam Hiong during a video briefing today on the group’s latest financial results. The firm also announced that its net profit for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2020 (July -Sept) almost tripled quarter-on-quarter due to higher revenue and lower operating expenses.
The Star –
Kronologi Asia is among the stocks which could attract trading interest on Tuesday following their corporate news, JF Apex Research says. The contract was awarded by a market-leading web search, online community and artificial intelligence services provider.
The Edge –
Kronologi Asia Bhd is expecting an upturn in its business performance in the second half of its financial year 2021 (2HFY21) ending Jan 31, 2021, driven mainly by the resumption of business activities following the pandemic-induced disruptions in the first half. This is based on the group’s strong customer base, Tay said, which will enable the group to push for better performance after the Covid-19 disruptions and see sequential growth for the remainder of FY21. He added that the group has a diversified geography portfolio, which helped the group cushion the pandemic’s negative impact. Besides Malaysia, the group has operations in Singapore and Hong Kong.
