BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a decrease in revenue of 14% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter. The Group’s overall revenue was mainly contributed from construction progress from on-going projects and income from chemical transport services from logistics segment. Nevertheless, the gross profit from operations for the current financial quarter and profit before taxation were at RM10.42 million and RM10.07 million, representing an increase of 94% and 109% respectively compared to Q2FY2022. This has led to an increase in profit for the financial year of RM6.59 million.

Shares in KPower Bhd fell over 6% in early trade Tuesday after its largest shareholder Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah has disposed of 2.92 million company warrants. The warrants were sold at 28.91 sen apiece or a total of RM843,401 on June 11, leaving Mohd Karim with 3.33 million warrants or 2.21%. He had sold 6.31 million warrants earlier this month.

Renewable energy players rose today after winning bids for the fourth cycle of the large-scale solar programme (LSS4). KPower Bhd advanced three sen or 1.35% to RM2.25. Last Friday, the Energy Commission announced the list of 30 shortlisted bidders of the LSS4, with prices ranging from 17.68 sen/kWh to 24.81 sen/kWh, for a total awarded capacity of 823.06MW out of the 1,000 MW offered.

KPower Bhd’s healthcare unit has won a RM48.64 million contract from an Indonesian company to provide airbags and a Covid-19 test machine. In a bourse filing, the company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Power Healthcare & Technologies Sdn Bhd (KPHealthTech) had accepted a letter of award from PT Biotech Maju Sejahtera (PT BMS) for the GeNose airbag and breathing bag, and GeNose Covid-19 test machine.

KPower Engineering Sdn Bhd (KPEng), a wholly-owned subsidiary of KPower Bhd, has entered into a memorandum of agreement today with Public Islamic Bank Bhd (PIBB) on the financing and installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for PIBB’s customers in relation to the net energy metering (NEM) scheme. The NEM scheme, which falls under the purview of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), provides the avenue for electricity users to install solar PV systems on the roofs of their respective buildings for electricity cost savings.

KPower inked an agreement to supply polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests for Covid-19 in Indonesia for a minimum contract price of US$6mil (RM24.05mil). The group also said it would be acquiring a 70% stake in Granulab (M) Sdn Bhd for RM1mil from Sirim Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Sirim Tech Venture Sdn Bhd. Granulab is a medical device manufacturing company for gradual synthetic bones graft “Granumas”.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 0.66 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 4.3 million and auditor’s remuneration of 92 thousands

As at 30 June 2020, the Group recorded an increase in revenue of 70% as compared to the immediate preceding quarter (“Q3FY2020”) mainly from the preliminary works from new construction projects obtained during the quarter

The Group recorded an increase in revenue of 128% for Q3FY2020 as compared to Q2FY2020 mainly from the preliminary works on construction projects. The gross profit from operations for Q3FY2020 was at RM7.91 million representing an increase of 97% as compared to Q2FY2020 which is consistent with the increase of PBT of RM3.84 million and PAT of RM2.67 million or 97% and 95% respectively, as compared to Q2FY2020.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
As at 31 December 2019, the Group recorded a revenue of RM24.80 million as compared to RM11.16 million in the preceding quarter (Q1FY2020) mainly from the preliminary works on construction contracts with Signvest Sdn Bhd and various other construction projects. The gross profit from operations for the current quarter was at RM4.01 million, an increase of 158% as compared to Q1FY2020 which is consistent with the increase of PBT of RM3.95 million and PAT of RM2.80 million or 159% and 196% respectively, as compared to Q1FY2020.
INVESTING MALAYSIA –
KPOWER 21 JAN 20 – Kumpulan Powernet Bhd (KPower) has proposed to undertake a private placement of new shares in the company of not more than 10% of its issued share capital to raise up to RM12.18 million.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
