BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Company recorded slightly lower revenue (-0.7%) versus Q2’22 where continued strong demand for liquid milk is more than offset by the positive effect from the Ramadhan period in the previous quarter. Operating profit in the quarter increased by 10.3% in line with continued strong demand for Dutch Lady products and strong cost management actions which is partly offset by escalating purchase prices of global dairy raw materials and negative foreign exchange results due to weakening MYR vs USD.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Company recorded 13.4% higher revenue versus Q1’22 on the back of continued strong demand for milk as an essential product and a successful Ramadhan campaign. Operating profit (excluding accelerated depreciation) in the quarter increased by 2.3% in line with higher demand for Dutch Lady products and higher sales prices, largely offset by escalating purchase prices of global dairy raw materials and negative foreign exchange results due to weakening MYR vs USD. Reported Profit after tax rose by 4.7 % due to lower accelerated depreciation.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Operating profit (excluding accelerated depreciation and land sale) in the quarter declined 32.6%, resulting from escalating prices of global dairy raw materials and increased brand investments. Profit after tax declined by 88.8 % due to the one-off benefit from the sale of the land and the related manufacturing facilities in Petaling Jaya in Q4’21 and the aforementioned factors impacting operating profit.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Reported Profit Before Interest and Tax increased by 588% on the back of the mentioned land & buildings sale completion, partially offset by accelerated depreciation of existing assets that will not be transferred to the new manufacturing facilities.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Operating profit (excluding accelerated depreciation) is close to previous quarterby 2.7%, despite the 11% lower revenue (due to seasonality- Chinese New Year and stringent MCO 2.0), as a result of lower dairy raw materials prices and improved cost efficiencies. Operating profit (excluding accelerated depreciation) improved by 1% due to operational efficiencies.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The company recorded a revenue growth of 9% driven by in home consumption during the Ramadan period, however profit before tax declined by 7% due to negative mix change (channel and portfolio) impacted by weak food service and out of home business during the period of the Movement Control Order.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The 10.9% revenue decrease compared to preceding quarter is driven by two major events namely due to Chinese New Year and the beginning of the MCO on 18 March 2020.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 2.24 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 68 million and auditor’s remuneration of 106 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded higher PBT by RM5.5 million in current quarter for the Group’s IT segment in line with higher revenue from System Integration & Consultancy business. However, the overall performance by Energy segment was affected by the negative contribution of RM2.6 million from share of results in its associates. The current quarter results from the associates include an under-provision of deferred tax liability in relation to tax allowance and higher cost of production.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Company recorded a revenue of RM281.76 million as compared to RM276.31 million, representing 2% volume growth and 2% higher revenue than previous quarter. Profit before tax was RM34.31 million for current quarter as compared to RM34.87 million in preceding quarter, decrease by 1.6% driven by continuous investment in advertising and promotional spend to drive increased penetration of milk consumption in the country and higher dairy purchase price in Q4 2019.
