The Edge –
Construction outfit Bina Puri Holdings Bhd announced on Nov 25 that Datuk Neoh Soo Keat had emerged as a substantial shareholder after acquiring 30 million shares or 3.5% of the group’s share base on Nov 18. Neoh then acquired another five million shares or 0.58% on Nov 23 to take his total shareholding in the group to 6.81% as at Nov 26. The emergence of Neoh, the founder of property development company Trinity Group, in Bina Puri has led to speculation about whether there will be a consolidation of the two companies as he has been looking for a suitable vehicle to list Trinity since 2015.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, through its joint-venture SPTK Joint Venture Co Ltd (SPTK JV), has signed a contract package with State Railway of Thailand on the high-speed railway (HSR) project to connect Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima. The contract was signed by SPTK JV chief executive officer Attasith Damrongrat and Bina Puri Holdings (Thailand) Ltd executive director Leong Keh Soon on behalf of SPTK JV while SRT was represented by its governor, Nirut Maneephan.

Bina Puri Holdings Bhd’s joint-venture (JV) company has won a RM1.036bil bid for part of a high-speed railway project in Thailand. The construction group announced yesterday the package was to connect regions in the Bangkok-Nong Khai section, namely, the Phase 1 Bangkok-Nakhon Ratchasima section. The high-speed railway project is a Thailand-China venture. The contract value is 7.75 billion baht (RM1.036bil).
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded revenue of RM91.7 million and profit before tax of RM7.4million for the current quarter as compared to the preceding quarter of RM93.2 million and loss before tax of RM8.5 million respectively. The results was mainly contributed from the sales of development properties.

The Group recorded revenue of RM93.2million and loss before tax of RM8.5 million as compared to the immediate preceding quarter of RM127.8 million and profit before tax of RM6.6 million respectively. The decline in revenue was due to slower work progress during festive season in the beginning of the year,
coupled with the 2 weeks shut down as a result of MCO imposed by the Government of Malaysia. The
additional costs incurred due to delay in completion of the existing projects with Extension of Time granted
had adversely affected the financial performance for the current quarter under review.
