REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 1.7.2019 – 30.6.2020, the directors’ remuneration was 5.37 million. It was high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 8 million and auditor’s remuneration of 192 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported a revenue at RM74.7 million compared to RM23.7 million in preceding quarter. The increase was due the higher billings issued for the PCS that includes change orders approved by the client of which project and contract already successfully completed and closed respectively. The Group recorded profit before taxation of RM2.1 million in the current quarter as compared to RM17.5 million in preceding quarter mainly due to the impairment loss recognised for the vessel and property plant and equipment owned by the Group.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group reported an decrease in revenue by 64% during the current quarter ended 31 March 2020 compared with the immediate preceding quarter. The profit before taxation increased by 71% in the current quarter ended 31 March 2020 compared with the immediate preceding quarter. The decrease in revenue was due to the lesser progress billings issued for the PCS. The increase in profit before tax was mainly due to the settlement of debt with one of the Group’s subcontractors
INVESTING MALAYSIA –
(16 JAN 20) Barakah Offshore Petroleum Bhd said today it has issued a statutory notice against its client Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to claim RM477,467.37, in relation to work done under a contract awarded to Barakah’s unit in August 2016.
