BURSA MALAYSIA –
Based on a lower turnover, profit before tax declined to RM 9.5 million in the second quarter as compared to RM 11.6 million achieved in the preceding quarter. In addition, the operation in overseas was also affected by higher operating cost in particular the significant increase in energy cost during the quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
With the successful passing of cost to the customers and also improvement in operation efficiency, operating profit surged by 46.7% from RM 9.2 million to RM13.5 million when compared with March quarter. However after taking into consideration the share of loss from associate of RM 1.8 million as opposed to share of profit of RM 3.1 million in preceding quarter, profit before tax dropped to RM 11.6 million from RM 12.4 million achieved in the preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The successful passing of the partial cost increase to customers has improved the operating margin for the quarter. Coupled with the increase in turnover, pre-tax profit for the quarter improved by 37.2% to RM 12.4 million when compared to RM 9.0 million recorded in the preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the current period decrease to RM 9.0 million as compared to RM10.6 million posted in the immediate preceding quarter. The decrease was mainly caused by rising energy cost during the winter season and also the bigger foreign exchange loss posted in this quarter of RM 2 million as compared to only RM 501,000 suffered in the preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The decline in pre-tax profit by 19% was mainly due to rising cost of raw material and freight charges which has lowered the operating margin for the quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before tax for the current period rose to RM19.8million as compared to RM14.5million posted in the immediate preceding quarter. The increase was mainly due to higher sales figures and the positive foreign exchange movement, which has resulted in a forex gain of RM3.0million in the current quarter as compared to foreign exchange gain of only RM1.0 million in the preceding quarter.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 3.13 million. It was slightly high compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 62.9 million and auditor’s remuneration of 101 thousands
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Revenue dropped to RM44.65 million in the current quarter compared to RM70.68 million in preceding quarter as sales of filing products have been affected by Covid-19 pandemic lockdown in various countries. With the decrease in revenue and fixed operating costs remaining unchanged, the Group recorded a reduced profit before tax of RM1.10 million for the current quarter as compared to RM9.93 million in preceding quarter.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Group’s revenue dropped from RM70.68mil to RM80.66mil. The lower revenue was due to weaker demand for filing products which was affected by the outbreak of Covid-19. Profit before tax dropped from RM13.80mil to RM9.93mil. The decline in pre-tax profit was mainly due to the impairment amount of RM4.19mil in receivables and machinery as well as a lower contribution from investing results of only RM0.34mil as compared to RM3.43mil achieved in the preceding quarter.
