BURSA MALAYSIA –
For FY2022, Al-Sal?m REIT recorded a realised profit of RM15.7 million (FY2021: RM14.6 million) and an unrealised profit of RM49.7 million (FY2021: unrealised loss of RM11.4 million). Realised profit was higher by 7% or RM1.1 million mainly attributable to lower provision of rental support of RM6.9 million offsetted by higher Islamic financing costs of RM2.3 million and the drop in realised NPI of RM3.4 million. The unrealised gain of RM49.7 million was attributed to fair value gain from the revaluation of investment properties of RM46.7 million and unbilled rental income of RM3.6 million offsetted by tax expenses of RM0.6 million.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Higher net income before tax for the current quarter of RM4.9 million as compared to the immediate preceding quarter of RM4.5 million mainly due to reversal of provision for doubtful debt of KOMTAR JBCC.

Net income before tax for the current quarter was higher by RM14.4 million as compared to the immediate preceding quarter mainly due to the revaluation exercise in 2021 and allowance for expected credit loss of trade receivables.

Net income before tax for the current quarter recorded at RM3.03 million which was lower by RM2.2 million as compared to immediate preceding quarter mainly due to lower rental income from retail and office segments and higher provision for rental rebates for Q2 2021.

Net income before tax for the current quarter was higher by RM32.8 million as compared to immediate preceding quarter mainly due to fair value loss of RM32.0 million arising from the valuation of investment properties as at 31 December 2020.

Total revenue recorded a decrease of 26.5% or RM5.7 million mainly due to the rental rebate granted to tenants (retail segment), lower other income arising from the Covid-19 pandemic and MCO since mid-March 2020. Net income before tax reported a decrease of 56.6% mainly due to higher rental support as stated earlier.

The Group’s recorded a revenue and net income before tax of RM21.43 million and RM6.82 million respectively, compared to revenue of RM24.11 milliona and net income before tax of RM10.77 in preceding quarter.The decrease in revenue mainly due to the rental rebate granted to tenants (retail segment), lower other income arising from the Covid-19 pandemic and MCO. Net income before tax decreased mainly due to rental support as stated earlier and lower fair value gain on investment properties.
INVESTING MALAYSIA –
11 MAR 20 – Islamic real estate investment trust (REIT), Al-Salam Real Estate Investment Trust (Al-Salam), is raising RM92.8 million through a proposed private placement for the purpose of working capital funding, capital expenditure and to reduce its bank borrowings.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Total revenue recorded an increase of 1.8% due to higher rental income of RM0.5 million from retail segment offsetted by lower rental income of RM0.1 million from F&B restaurant. Net income before tax was RM10.8 million compared to net income before tax of RM7.9 million in preceding quarter mainly due to higher fair value gain on investment properties of RM2.8 million.
