The Star –
Ageson Bhd’s 75%-owned subsidiary Ageson Holdings Sdn Bhd has entered a development rights agreement with Menteri Besar Inc (Perak) to develop about 475 acres of land in Daerah Batang Padang in Perak. It said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that the mixed-development has a gross development value of RM1.24bil and comprises government agencies and administration units, industrial, commercial and residential development. Ageson Holdings will pay MBI Perak an entitlement of 20% of the total GDV or RM72mil, whichever is higher. The proposed development has an estimated gross development cost of RM879.9mil and is expected to be completed about 15 years from its commencement in the first quarter of 2022

Ageson Bhd expects to generate another record-high profit for financial year ending June 30,2021 through its international export market, supported by its RM149mil construction order book. The Bursa Malaysia main market-listed group said it would focus on its upcoming project in Batu Ferringhi, Penang for its property development business, which has a gross development value of RM178mil.
REMUNERATION STUDY –
In Financial Year End 2020, the directors’ remuneration was 1.25 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 2.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 197 thousands

Shares of Ageson Bhd declined over 3% in morning trade on Monday on a legal suit against its subsidiary by RHB Bank Bhd over a RM33mil term loan. The construction and property developer fell 3.45%, or 0.5 sen to 14 sen. It is one of the most heavily traded counters on Bursa Malaysia with over 20 million shares traded.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
The Group recorded a revenue of RM37.19 million, a decrease of RM39.65 million or 52% as compared to RM76.84 million in the preceding year corresonding quarter. This was mainly due to the lower progress billing recognized from both construction and property development projects. The Group recorded a profit before tax of RM17.30 million, an increase of RM15.26 million as compared to RM2.03 million in the preceding year corresponding quarter. The improvement was due to the cost reduction on existing projects.
BURSA MALAYSIA –
Profit before taxation was increased to RM10.32 million in the current financial quarter as compared to RM7.79 million in the preceding quarter, representing an increase of RM2.53 million of the profit before taxation, primarily due to the higher contribution from Construction segment during the current year quarter.

The Group registered an increase in revenue of RM10.56 million for the current year quarter as compared to RM10.09 million in the preceding quarter. Profit before taxation was increased to RM7.70 million in the current quarter as compared to RM2.22 million in the preceding quarter, representing an increase of RM5.48 million of the profit before taxation. This was mainly due to costs saving from inter-group restructuring.

In Financial Year End 2019, the directors’ remuneration was 1.27 million. It was fair compared to average in listed companies, considering the employees’ remuneration of 3.1 million and auditor’s remuneration of 137 thousands
